Since 2006 we buy the spruce tops for the Hanika concert guitars of our studio, recital, concert and professional line from the company Florinett AG - Tonewood Switzerland based in Latsch in the canton "Graubünden" in Switzerland.
Hanika Guitars is currently training two apprentices as guitar makers. Both of them were now able to complete a prototype of a crossover model, completely self-built and handmade, as a project work.
The whole world is currently in a difficult situation, which all of us would never have thought possible a short time ago. Our thoughts and our appreciation are with all the people who work in public health systems and ensure the care of the local people.
Since April 2019 we use strings from the manufacturer "Knobloch" for our Hanika Guitars of the "Professional Line" and the "Concert Line". For the "Recital Line", the "Studio Line" and our Flamenco Guitars we use strings from the French firm "Savarez".
The common project of Hanika Gitarrenbau and the Technical University Dresden "Thermo treated tonewoods for use in concert guitar making" was awarded with the title of "ZIM Craft Project of the Year" by the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy.
